    Angel Mounds State Historic Site

    Angel Mounds State Historic Site is the land that was once inhabited by Native Americans from 1100 to 1450 A.D. Angel Mounds was home to a large community including the cheif. Today the history of this Native American group and their culture is interpreted through displays in a reconstructed village.

    Willard Library

    Located near the downtown area of Evansville, this library was built with a grant from Willard Carpenter in 1885 with the intention of its use for all people "free of charge forever". The Victorian Gothic building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. After many years, the Willard Library holds many interesting legends and traditons that can be experienced when you visit.
